Cascade Families,

Our community at Cascade is special, and we work hard to make our schools a big part of that. Cascade School District is a great place to learn, grow, and work.

The 2025-26 school year is my eighteenth year as Superintendent, and I am so glad for our committed staff, growing student body, and our supportive and involved community. We are ready for a great year, and ready to serve your students.

Cascade is a great place because we are family. We know each other, and we know our students. We help each student find the best path for them. For some students, the path is a career right out of high school, and our Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway gives our students some of the best opportunities in the state. For some students, the path is going to college, and we have a lot of classes that earn college credit for those who want it.

Cascade is a great place because we focus on academics. Our high graduation rate (a record 95.5% for the class of 2024) doesn’t just magically appear in the senior year—it starts when each student walks through the door in Kindergarten. Our staff is committed to serving students each step of the way, all the way through to graduation.

Cascade is a great place because we are stable. We have been careful with our finances and seen growth in students over the last few years. This year our enrollment looks to be slightly higher than last year, and that financial stability meant we didn’t have to go through any staff or budget cuts. We work hard to keep good staff.

Over the past few years, we’ve taken advantage of seismic grants and Federal ESSER funds to make our buildings safer and add additional classrooms. These kinds of improvements are so important to older buildings like ours, and grants are the only way to make it possible without passing a construction bond.

Our district's mission statement says that we are committed to providing a well-rounded education where each student is supported, confident, and graduates college or career-ready. That mission guides what we do every day. We know that working to support the mental health and emotional needs of our students is essential to providing a quality education that helps every student become a contributing member of our community.

I know our staff will engage our students creatively, and I cannot wait to see what this unique group of students will accomplish this year. I am glad we are in this together

Be sure to follow the district and our schools on our website and social media. And, the ParentSquare app for your Android or iPhone is the easiest way to get all our school and district information.

Best wishes to you and your family for a successful school year.

Sincerely,
Darin Drill
Superintendent

Math at Cascade High School

Math comes in all shapes and sizes. A new class this year is "Geometry in Construction." With a math teacher and a CTE teacher, students see first hand how math is used in practical ways in real jobs.

Keep Parking Spots Clear

We want to remind everyone that the disabled parking spots are for people who need easy access to buildings. For everyone else, please do not block or park in a spot during drop off and pick up. We will be having staff monitor this throughout the year. Thank you!

Football Parent Help

Calling all football parents! We need help in the concession stand again this year. The funds raised by the football program have helped with all levels of football at Cascade. So, we are asking for help from the 5/6th grade, 7th and 8th grade, Varsity and JV parents. I have included the link for the SIGN UPS via Signup Genius. We have shifts listed in the sign-ups so we are not asking you to work the whole night! With so many parents involved I am hoping each family can help out at least a little in some way. It truly takes a village to do what we do for these players and the program! Go Cougars!
