Soft Start

First through fifth-grade students return to school the week after Labor Day. Kindergartners only come to school ONE day that first week. On that day, teachers and staff will get to know each child's motor, literacy, math, and expressive skills. Kindergartners will have the opportunity to learn about the school and important routines in a small group. You will sign up for your child's Soft Start date when you register for Kindergarten.

Class lists will be posted the Monday afternoon AFTER the soft start week. The first official day for kindergarten is that Tuesday (the Tuesday after a soft-start week).

School Visits
Due to Covid, we are not able to offer Home Visits this year. Instead, we will have School Visits. These are optional for incoming kindergarten students. School visits allow our staff to meet your child in a fun way and allow your child to see the school and a classroom. Staff will bring a large bag of educational activities that include books, games, letter magnets, and more for your child to keep.

Please contact kindergarten teacher, Kelcie Frasier if you are interested in a school visit.
