Parent Teacher Club Board Member Appreciation!

Thank you so much to our fabulous PTC Board Members that make our school a super fun place to be. These 3 board members work very hard behind the scenes to make all our special events happen.
  • Annette leads our We Love to Read program, manages both the Panther Store and the Teacher Store, and is a steady hand behind the scenes making countless copies of flyers and forms. She also organizes Move-a-Thon flyers and store items, and puts together fun traditions like the Holiday Candy Grams and Valentine Valograms. Annette is always full of great ideas for student and family events, and she works closely with teachers and staff to help bring their ideas to life — carefully considering whether new initiatives are the right fit for the PTC to take on. She has a special talent for spotting what needs to be done and jumping right in to make it happen. Thank you, Annette, for the countless ways you support our students, staff, and families — AES is better because of you!
  • Kristin keeps our communication flowing by managing PTC emails, and she also runs the Tournament of Page Turners (TPT) reading program. She organizes our monthly treats and awards, does the shopping for appreciation and event needs, and is our go-to for flyer design and creative touches. Her crafting skills shine in appreciation activities, often bringing Pinterest-inspired ideas to life in the most thoughtful ways. Kristin also works closely with teachers and staff to help bring their ideas to life, putting thought into what initiatives the PTC can realistically take on. She consistently goes above and beyond to make our staff and students feel valued — thank you, Kristin, for everything you do for AES!
  • Nicole manages the financial side of PTC as well as getting events organized like the Move-A-Thon, the book fairs, movie nights and bingo nights. She comes early before school to set up fun signs and balloon arches. She comes after school to run our fun evening events. Thanks for all you do Nicole!

Move-A-Thon Business Sponsors

Our annual Move-A-Thon is coming up on October 3rd! This fun event encourages students to stay active while raising funds that directly benefit classrooms, teachers, and enrichment opportunities for all students.
DO YOU OWN A BUSINESS? DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO DOES?
We are seeking business partners to sponsor a classroom, a grade level or the whole school.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 this year. Please help us make that happen! Use the link below, fill out the paperwork and turn it in to the 3-5 office.

First Responders

We often have a friendly presence of first responders from the Aumsville Police and Fire Departments at Aumsville Elementary. They frequently visit for fun events and class presentations, building positive relationships with our students so they feel comfortable and safe around them.
So, if you happen to see police cars or fire trucks parked outside the school, please don't be alarmed. They're usually here for a fun event. In the case of a real emergency, communication will be sent to families.
Aumsville police and fire departments visited our Kinder students this week. Check out photos on our FB and Insta pages.

Toys & Equipment

Please make sure all toys and equipment are kept home. These items can be lost, stolen, and very distracting to the learning environment. Please contact your student's teacher with any questions about specific items.

Crosswalk

Safety Issue

The parking lot is extra busy during arrival and dismissal. In an effort to keep everyone safe, please do not let your students out of the car unless they are at the crosswalk. Please be extra cautious when driving (5 mph), as small students are hard to see. Also, please do not use the bus lane until all busses have gone through at 7:50. If you elect to park and walk your student in, please allow for extra time to find a spot during our morning and afternoon congestion. Thank you for doing your part to keep our community safe. If you would like to volunteer to help keep students safe during these times, please contact the Admin team.

Reminders for Cold and Flu Season

We are going into the Cold and Flu Season and have already had some cases of common contagious diseases.
  • Wash your hands and have kids wash their hands often
  • Frequently clean and disinfect high contact surfaces in your work areas
  • Avoid close contact with others.
The following is a reference guide for students to be sent home, stay home and when to return to school. If you have any questions, please call the school nurse.
